Eyeing innovation and digitalization, many mid-market companies strive to leverage cloud platforms. But their cloud initiatives often create more challenges than they solve. While public cloud provides little transparency and control over customization, cost, and data governance, private cloud, on the other hand, is complex and expensive. With limited IT budget and a lack of resources, medium-sized companies struggle to leverage cloud at scale and give their developers the optimum development environment to expedite digital transition. Enter ZeroStack. The cornerstone of ZeroStack was laid to help companies thrive in the digital era. ZeroStack offers easy to use, low cost, self-managed AWS-like cloud technology in the on-premise environment, allowing businesses to overcome the traditional constraints posed by VMware and OpenStack cloud environments. “We give our clients the best of both the worlds. By extending the benefits of public and private cloud as well as machine learning to an on-premise environment, we help the CIOs and CEOs with a robust, scalable, intelligent, and agile infrastructure purpose-built for their developers,” says Steve Garrison, Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at ZeroStack.
ZeroStack hides IT complexity by automating the orchestration of the technology infrastructure to deliver an AWS-like seamless experience in the on-premise environment. ZeroStack’s GUI (Graphical User Interface) driven, browser-based software allows automatic deployment of the applications easily.
We use open APIs that allow users to communicate with other tools such as Veeam and SolidFire easily and integrate our cloud platform with their existing storage and backup solutions to customize it according to the user
Through machine learning ZeroStack offers predictive analytics that helps teams to make the right decisions related to monitoring, control, and utilization of the infrastructure. The insights gained educate users on provisioning optimum resources to the developers. The users have complete visibility and control over data and this enables them to build their own workbench. The company uses open APIs that allow users to easily integrate their systems with storage technologies such as Veeam and SolidFire, among others. Besides it also has the ability to execute Microsoft and RedHat applications that enable a company to serve customers better.
With ZeroStack, both IT departments and developers get the resources they want. ZeroStack facilitates the construction of DevOps toolchains which can be easily deployed and migrated to or from the public cloud or VMware. Through ZeroStack’s turnkey approach clients can easily bring their data and systems back to on-premise without having to depend on cloud specialists. They can also streamline IT operations, gain software development agility, avoid expensive multilayered private clouds, and create an agile environment to meet their strategic goals. “With our agile development environment, you can provision an app 10-100 times faster than with traditional tools. Using a simple GUI-based platform, operational savings of up to 90 percent can be achieved,” says Garrison.
For example, one of its clients found it hard to migrate OpenStack software testing due to a resource shortage. ZeroStack delivered an on-premise cloud solution without the unnecessary operations overhead, so their developers were able to get AWS cloud capabilities on-premise, saving over $25,000 every month. As ZeroStack’s solution could integrate with AWS, the client was able to migrate testing back to on-premise.
Approaching the future, ZeroStack is working on building applications to support software companies such as CloudBees, RedHat, Openshift, Plutora, and CYBRIC. With new features coming in, the customers will be able to track new applications that would be added in ZeroStack’s app store. To build a complete multi-cloud environment, ZeroStack will be adding more public cloud connectors with MS Azure and Google Cloud. With the continuous evolution of the cloud, the company is working toward greater automation in its software to build an agile and efficient cloud infrastructure.
